About Division

Objectives

The aim of Statistics Unit is to support Ministry of Economy in facilitating and providing reliable, relevant and timely statistics to assist government in policy-making and planning of economic and social development. Responsible as liaison between Ministry of Economy and Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) regarding data requirement in accordance with DOSM data dissemination policy.

Key Function

To coordinate and provide relevant and timely statistics for users' needs;
Responsible as liaison between various sections in Ministry of Economy with Department of Statistics Malaysia and other agencies; and
To provide advice in areas pertaining to technical and statistical matters in general to sections in the Ministry of Economy.
